Making a yearbook with Yearbook Machine is smooth and hassle-free: we walk you through every step of the process. And because we do most of the heavy lifting for you, the time it takes to make your book can be dramatically reduced compared to traditional methods.

The exact amount of time it takes to make your yearbook depends on several factors, but if you need your book for a specific deadline just let us know and we’ll do our best to meet it- we have made books in 4 weeks from start to finish!

Sign Up

Time required: 1 day - 1 week
  • We give you a special link to a webpage that lets people join your book.
  • You give this link to everyone who you want to be in your book, and they sign up and get a profile in your private network.

Collect Data

Time required: 1 week - 1 month
  • Fill in individual profile pages and write comments on friends’ profiles.
  • Collaborate to write article pages and collect photos for montage pages
  • Vote in polls

Check & Submit

Time required: 1 day - 1 week
  • The system has a built-in deadline, set by you. When this is due, everyone is emailed reminding them to finish their submissions.
  • After the deadline, the system is locked to everyone but the book’s editors, to give them time to check over the content.
  • Teachers can also check the book’s content at this stage.
Check & Submit

Design

Time required: 1 day - 1 week
  • When you are happy with the content of your book, you submit it to Yearbook Machine and our designers turn it into the design for your printed book.
  • We send you a PDF proof before sending the book to print, to allow you to make final checks.
Design

Print & Delivery

Time required: 2 - 5 weeks
  • When everything’s checked and confirmed, we send your book to print. Printing takes 2-3 weeks for softback books or 4-5 weeks for hardback books. If you have an urgent deadline, we may be able to meet it if you let us know.
  • We require full payment before sending books to print. We also accept payment on delivery with a school or college purchase order.
